Falcon 7X

The Dassault Falcon 7X is a large-cabin, 5,950 nautical miles (11,020 km) range business jet manufactured by Dassault Aviation, the 2nd largest of its Dassault Falcon line. Launched at 2001 Paris Air Show, its first flight was on 5 May 2005 and it entered service on 15 June 2007. The Falcon 8X is derived from the 7X with a longer range of 6,450 nautical miles (11,950 km) afforded by engine optimizing, aerodynamic refinements and an increase in fuel capacity.[9] Featuring an S-duct central engine, it and the Falcon 900 are the only two trijets in production. From its inception, the Falcon 7X was destined to be a revolutionary aircraft, introducing business aviation to the industry’s first Digital Flight Control System. Like so many other aspects of the aircraft, its DFCS drew on Dassault’s 30 years of military experience, especially its Rafale and Mirage 2000 programs. The 7X would become the first business jet to use fighter jet technology with an elegant, whisper-quiet executive cabin. Today, over 270 Falcon 7X aircraft are in service in 41 countries. The fleet has performed some 550,000 flight hours and presents excellent dispatch reliability. And a growing number of operators worldwide are discovering they need not compromise small-jet agility and efficiency for long-range comfort and capability. Now a mature and proven aircraft platform, the Falcon 7X is still the most advanced — still the business jet benchmark for the 21st century.
